Books I Read

The books I choose to read are probably different then most. I don’t enjoy fairy tails. They just don’t seem to interest me personally. I like a book involving some drama. No, I am not some drama craving girl I just find it interesting to read about. Maybe it’s the teen thing, reading about: drugs, sex, and drama. Its just something I find interesting.
For example yes I think the Twilight/ Harry Potter especially movies are really interesting and enjoyable. Movies I wouldn’t turn down to go see if someone asks. But as soon as I pick up the book to read I just cant get interested in the book itself. Reading about something unrealistic just doesn’t fascinate me, even if I really enjoy the movies related to the novel. I don’t think the unrealistic part interests me because it could never be true.
For example a girl getting caught by a fire breathing dragon and then they become best friends, or a teen whose parents just got divorced and she turns into this mega slut to help deal with her parents situation. The teen slut sounds way more interesting. As strange as it sounds.
I think I may like the teen drama books the most because I am a teenager, and some of the stuff you can relate to yourself or maybe remind you of someone you know personally, or just straight up interesting. Although, not only do I prefer to read the exciting drama books I enjoy it.

Introduction to ROOM

Although I think the book is starting kind of slow I think I’m going to end up likening it. At first it’s a little hard to understand because of the way things are written because Jack, the author, is a child who hasn’t been taught proper grammar. He speaks calling things by names and like a child would I guess. I think its sad he has never had the opportunity to experience the outside world out of the room. I think its amazing what his mother does to help make his life as normal as she can. For example making the beach ball, having him exercise, and simple teaching him words off the cereal boxes. Although the vocab is simple he is still learning while the everyday kid would be in school. That’s great and shows real creativity to me. Nick is introduced; just because he has them locked in this room makes him seem like an awful person. I do get a little confused on what happens when he comes for Sunday visits. Yes I get that they get a “Sunday treat” every week great. But Jack always has to hide in the closet. And it talks about how he counts the bed creeks…? I also think Jack really wants to meet Nick secretly, but he is scared and doesn’t know what to think of him. Because he always has to hide when he comes around what kid wouldn’t be curious to who he, what he is like, or even looks like.
