Why Trust A Liar?

Micah, the main character in “Liar”, in a pathological liar. I think that she is completely wrong for never telling the truth, and just don’t completely understand it. It makes full sense why no one will believe anything she says. She has never told the truth and like Zach stated they aren’t just white lies they are full out obnoxious stupid lies. By everything she has done she I feel yes people have the right to criticized her. Why wouldn’t they? She has never told the truth to anyone, until the cops where she had to be honest because of the real trouble she could get into.
The world today is based on a lot of trust. People trust you not to steal things, tell your secrets, and listen to your opinions, and mainly be honest with you. Nobody wants their friend to be a liar that they cannot trust, which is how I believe people feel about Micah. They can’t believe anything she says because she’s never told the truth, they cannot trust her to be their friend.  In the situation of the book with Zach’s disappearance people think she knows something because they were always together after school. After Brandon let it leak they were hanging out people thought she knew something and question her. But even though they ask her questions it’s pointless because they know she’s lying. The cops have even caught onto her lies and don’t know what they can believe. Even though she starts to be honest with them they still are confused with if she’s being honest. Why trust a liar?

  1. Great question, Joy! We'll talk about this in our discussion on Friday.

What did you think about the big surprise?

Also, can you change your font color? It's hard for my old eyes to see. :)
